Guide 39: TCP NoDelay & AckFrequency — The Legendary Registry Tweaks for Online Gaming
Disabling Nagle's Algorithm to send game packets instantly without waiting for batch buffers.
By Shakir Hossain

Nagle's Algorithm was created in 1984 to combine small network packets into larger bundles to conserve internet bandwidth. In modern competitive gaming, waiting for packet bundles introduces 50ms to 200ms of synthetic delay!
REGISTRY OPTIMIZATION KEYS:
Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces, create two DWORD (32-bit) values:
- • TcpAckFrequency = 1 (Acknowledge packets immediately)
- • TCPNoDelay = 1 (Disable packet batching)
